Prof. Tone Bleie from University of Tromsø has researched and written about tribals, nationalism and human rights in South Asia. Her most recent book
A New Testament focus on the interaction between Scandinavian mission Santalmissionen and their missionaries in 19th and 20th Century India and the santal tribes and their leaders. The story is a tapestry of tribal history, nationalism, mission movements,
transatlantic missions and Lutheran churches, and prof. Bleie will present and discuss her findings.
